Picos & Pyrenees Motorycle Tour 2026 & 2027 .

All of our 2026 tour dates for our flagship Picos & Pyrenees tour have now officially sold out — but the good news is we’ve opened a brand new date for 2027!

Request your 2027 Tour Pack below and let’s get you on a Wild Roads adventure.

Wild Roads motorcycle tours are extremely popular and usually sell out 6–9 months before departure, so we recommend placing your deposit as soon as you decide you'd like to join us.

Don’t worry though — the full tour balance isn’t due until 120 days before departure, so there’s plenty of time.

This tour runs from the 13th of August to the 26th of August. We also run other tour dates, so please enquire for details.

🏍️ What type of bike do I need?

We recommend a comfortable touring, adventure, or sport-touring bike that can handle mountain passes, winding coastlines, and a few long-haul days. If you’re unsure, give us a shout – we can help you prep or sort a hire bike through our partners.

🧳 What should I pack?

We’ll send you a full packing list when you book, but essentials include:

  • Riding gear (including wet weather protection)

  • A valid passport

  • EU travel insurance

  • Breakdown cover

  • Small daypack or tank bag

  • A thirst for adventure

🌦️ What’s the weather like?

Expect a mix! The Spanish coast and inland areas are usually warm and dry, but the Pyrenees and Picos can be unpredictable – we might get a bit of rain or mist at altitude. Layer up and bring waterproofs.

🍷 Is this a good tour for foodies?

You better believe it. From tapas in Santiago to pintxos in San Sebastián and hearty Pyrenean mountain fare, the food and wine are unreal. Every stop has its local flavour – you won’t go hungry.

🧼 Do we get rest days?

Yep! Three well-placed rest days in Santiago de Compostela, Arreau and San Sebastien give you time to recharge, explore, or go for an optional ride. It’s your tour – do it your way.

🇪🇸 Do I need to speak Spanish or French?

Not at all, though a few basics help. We provide a tour booklet with key phrases, and our guides (if selected) are always on hand to help. Locals are generally friendly and welcoming to bikers.

🛳️ What’s the ferry like?

The overnight ferry from Plymouth to Santander is comfy and gives you a chilled start to the adventure. Private cabins, food on board, and time to meet fellow riders – it’s all part of the experience.

🧭 How experienced do I need to be?

You don’t need to be a veteran road warrior, but you should be a competent and confident rider. If you’re comfortable with twisty roads, riding for a few hours at a time, and handling different weather conditions, you’ll be just fine. It’s not a race – we ride at a steady pace with plenty of stops to soak it all in.

🧑‍✈️ Do I have to ride with the guide the whole time?

Not at all! We provide GPX routes for every day, so you can ride at your own pace, take detours, buddy up with others, or stick with the guide – totally up to you. Some riders love the freedom, others enjoy the group buzz. And hey, our guide’s a top bloke – he’d appreciate some company now and then, so don’t leave him too lonely out there!

🗺️ Can I ride solo if I feel like it one day?

Absolutely. This tour is about freedom and exploration. Some days you might want to ride alone, stop more for photos, or explore a nearby route – that’s totally fine. We’ll see you at the next hotel with a cold drink waiting.

📅 How do the daily rides work on guided tours?

Each morning we have a relaxed rider briefing, and then we roll out together. You can ride with the group, tag along behind the guide, or set off solo using the GPX route. Most riders end up mixing it up during the tour.

⚠️ What if I fall behind or take a wrong turn?

No stress – you’ll have the full route on your sat nav or phone, and we’re always just a WhatsApp away. Plus, we regroup at planned stops and hotel check-ins.
